The CCTV Headquarters Building is located on East Third Ring Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, in the Beijing Business Center. It includes the CCTV Headquarters Building, TV Culture Center, Service Building, and Celebration Square. The CCTV Headquarters Building covers an area of 197,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 550,000 square meters and a maximum building height of 234 meters.
The two towers of the main building of the CCTV Headquarters Building are tilted inward by 6 degrees in both directions. They are connected by an "L"-shaped cantilever structure above 163 meters. The glass curtain wall on the exterior surface of the building is composed of strong irregular geometric patterns. It uses special glass, and its surface is fired into gray porcelain glaze, which can more effectively block the sun and adapt to Beijing's air quality environment. It has a unique shape, novel structure, and high-tech content. It is a "high, difficult, precise, and cutting-edge" super-large project both at home and abroad.
This project uses seven-color black and silver-gray aluminum veneers for decoration, with a supply volume of 35,000 square meters. The CCTV Headquarters Building was selected as one of the top ten architectural wonders in the world in 2007 by Time, an American magazine, and won the highest award - the Global Best High-rise Building Award.
